This policy explains when you can cancel a verification and how refunds are handled.
Cancelling before work begins
If you cancel before the panel advocate has started reviewing your documents, you are eligible for a full refund of any fee paid, less any government charges already incurred on your behalf.
After review has started
Once the advocate has begun verification, the fee is non-refundable, as the work and professional time have already been committed. Where only part of the work has started, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial refund.
Government fees
Fees paid to government offices for certified copies, encumbrance certificates or other records are not refundable, as they are charged by the authorities and not by us.
How to request a refund
Email connect@legalpaper.co with your name, the property reference and your reason. We will confirm eligibility and process approved refunds to the original payment method, usually within 7 to 10 business days.
Issues with a report
If you believe there is an error in a completed report, write to us and we will review it. Genuine errors on our part will be corrected at no extra cost.
